The Campaign for BC Children

Today, there is a profound need for a new Children’s Hospital for the province’s sick and injured children. The current hospital is antiquated and doesn’t meet the needs of today’s patients. That’s why we are asking everyone in BC to join the Campaign for BC Children and help us to build a new BC Children’s Hospital.

The construction of a new BC Children’s Hospital – which includes a state-of-the-art acute care centre, moving child development and rehabilitation services from Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children to the Oak Street site, and Child Health BC – will cost $683 million. It’s a big number – and an investment that will generate savings in the years ahead not only through lives saved, but also from operating efficiencies that will result in improved health for generations to come.

We are building a new hospital unequalled in class, designed for the 21st century: a Children’s Hospital that puts the lives and work of the people within it first. It will be family-centred and future focused – a beacon of hope for our sickest and most severely injured children and their families.
